Meet the Team: Emma, Bob & Mojo
Fieldcote Devils Helmet
"Bob"Breed: Welsh Section
AColour: Bay
Year of Birth: 2015
Sire: Crumpwell Lewis
Dam: Fieldcote Riding Hood
Emma has proudly owned Bob for the past three years, and together they have built an incredible partnership across a variety of disciplines. Originally purchased with the intention of pursuing showing, the pair enjoyed great success at local level during their first season together.
Ironically, when Emma first viewed Bob, she was so nervous about jumping that she wouldn't even ride him over a cross pole. Little did she know that less than a year later, Bob's natural talent over a fence would ignite a passion for show jumping that continues to grow today.
The pair soon ventured into working hunter competitions, consistently achieving top placings and earning the Reserve Champion title in February 2025. Their confidence continued to flourish in the show jumping arena, where they became familiar faces on the local circuit, finishing in the ribbons at almost every outing.
One of their proudest achievements came during the Winter 2025 season at Smugglers, where Emma and Bob won the overall league after accumulating the highest number of points. It marked Emma's very first equestrian trophy and remains a milestone in her riding journey.
The start of 2026 presented new challenges, with Bob facing a difficult period between January and April. Thanks to Emma's unwavering dedication and careful management, he has returned to full health and is now being slowly and thoughtfully brought back into work.
Looking ahead, the partnership is set to explore the world of dressage for the first time, with hopes of competing in winter leagues while continuing to enjoy beach rides, fun rides, and countless hours hacking through the beautiful mountains of Caerphilly—still their favourite way to spend time together.
Although Bob stands at just 12hh and Emma's legs continue to get longer, he has firmly secured his place as a forever pony. As the perfect first pony and trusted partner, he has earned a home for life and will always hold a special place within the family.
Machno Mojo
Breed: Welsh Part-Bred
Colour: Grey
Year of Birth: 2020
Sire: Carnedd Silver Ghost
Dam: Machno Rubina
Emma welcomed Machno Mojo into her family in July 2025 after spotting an advert that instantly caught her attention. Despite not actively searching for another horse, she and her family made the five-hour journey to Anglesey to meet him—and it quickly became clear that Mojo was the perfect fit.
Purchased as a recently backed five-year-old with very limited experience under saddle, Mojo had attended just two arena hires with his previous owner but had already shown exceptional scope and athleticism over a fence.
Rather than rushing his education, Emma has spent their first year together building a strong partnership and solid foundations. Their time has been filled with hacking adventures, lessons both at home and away, pole work clinics, Pony Club activities, and training with highly respected instructors including Louise Harwood and Bruno Freire.
In June 2026, Mojo attended his first residential Pony Club camp, where he excelled across a range of activities including mounted games, grass show jumping, cross-country, dressage, and gridwork. The experience highlighted his versatility and willingness to learn, confirming the exciting potential he possesses.
The long-term ambition for Emma and Mojo is to compete under British Show jumping, where Mojo is expected to measure as a 138cm pony, allowing Emma to enjoy several competitive years with him before she ages out of the class.
Beyond show jumping, Mojo's quality on the flat and natural athleticism suggest a bright future in eventing, and Emma hopes to explore this discipline in years to come. With his trainable attitude and all-round ability, Mojo is proving to be an exciting prospect with a promising future ahead.
