8 year old coloured Warmblood mare Oso Never Enough AKA Madge

Caitlin bought Madge along with her parents in November 2022 when Madge was a freshly backed 4 year old.

She was bred by Carole Dagless- Brown at the Oso Stud, her dam being Your Royal Highness hence her stable name Maj, as in Your Majesty, but the spelling Madge has stuck!!

She was backed and brought on at Jessie Kirby Dressage who should take all the credit for doing such a first class job with her.

She is as her stable name suggests, a total Princess, elegant, pretty and exceptionally well mannered. Madge is a real favourite on the yard.

Madge was bred for dressage and this has given Caitlin an opportunity to embark upon a new discipline who previously shown coloured ponies and horses.

They began affiliated competition in 2023 and are active members of British Dressage and began training with BD Wales Coach Andrew Jones, starting at Preliminary Bronze and then Silver level, onto Novice Bronze and are now competing at Silver.

Madge has never failed to qualify for every Summer and Winter Pet plan Area Festival since the summer of 2023. This summer they have qualified for 2 Pet plan Area Festivals which take place in July and August.

To gain 2 Summer Area Qualifications this year has been quite an achievement considering Caitlin has been in her third and final year at University and will graduate next month with a BA (Hons) Primary Education from The University of South Wales.

They were also chosen to represent Wales at the 2024 Under 25’s Championship both on the Team and also qualified as an Individual competitor. They were also chosen to represent Wales in 2025 however could not attend the Championship due to her older pony being on box rest.

In 2025 Caitlin and Madge were invited to take part at a British Dressage Judges Training event in 2025 with Richard Davison, who is a listed British Dressage judge. He is best known as a four-time Olympian, British Dressage team captain, coach, and member of FEI dressage working groups. Alongside Hayley Watson-Greaves, a British international Grand Prix dressage rider, trainer, and accredited British Dressage coach. She has represented Great Britain in Nations Cup competitions, was reserve for the British Team at Rio Olympic Games in 2016. This was a fantastic opportunity for Caitlin and Madge.

A few weeks later they were also invited to be a ridden combination for BHS Stage 4 Snr Dressage Coaching candidates.

They had their first write up and photo in Horse and Hound in October last year following two wins at Bridgend College.

They were also asked to feature in a behavioural case study for Your Horse magazine last September.

Looking forward Caitlin and Madge are working towards Elementary level and have also recently started training with another BD Wales Coach Amanda Jane Leaker.

Together they hope to continue improve and train up the levels.
